Self renovation of Penthouse Apartment at St Ann's Tower in Leeds.  

​

St Ann’s Tower was built in 1860 by Leeds’ industrial entrepreneur Thomas Richards Harding whose world class inventions propelled the industrial revolution. 

 

His greatest invention was The Harding’s Counter, one of these can be found at The Science Museum on Exhibition Road in South Kensington, London. 

 

It was used to count the revolutions of a machine, something previously recorded manually. 

 

Harding was inspired by the towers of beautiful Italy and built 3 towers at Tower Works factory in Leeds. He also built St Ann’s Tower which was his home.
